Neureuther tops Bormio podium

Felix Neureuther topped the podium in the slalom at the World Cup event in Bormio on Monday.

The German held off the challenge of Austria's Marcel Hirscher, who had been fastest by just 0.01 seconds in the first run, to be the only skiier to have an aggregate time of under two minutes.

Hirscher moved to within 115 points of World Cup leader and downhill specialist Aksel Lund Svindal with his second-placed finish as Italian home favourite Manfred Moelgg completed the top three.
