Neureuther wins in Wengen

Felix Neureuther was victorious in the men's slalom final in Wengen on Sunday, closing the gap on overall leader Marcel Hirscher.

Neureuther's first run was 57.80secs and he reduced that to 52.73secs, an overall time of 1:50:53.

Hirscher was second with a time of 1:50:74, with Ivica Kostelic third.

Austrian Hirscher leads the World Cup points list and the overall Alpine World Cup standings, with Neureuther 114 points adrift in the former and Aksel Lundsvindal 188 in the latter.
