New Glamorgan deal for Cooke

Glamorgan batsman Chris Cooke has extended his contract with the club for the next two seasons.

The 26-year-old has made a big impact in limited-overs cricket, hitting sixes from the second, third and fourth balls he faced for the county in a 2011 Friends Life t20 clash with Middlesex and making 137 not out against Somerset in last season's Clydesdale Bank 40.

And Glamorgan's head of elite performance Matthew Mott said: "This is great news for the club as we prepare for the 2013 season. Chris has made a positive impact during his short career with Glamorgan.

"Having established himself in our one-day sides, we look forward to working with him to continue to develop his career as he pushes for inclusion in our four-day team."
