Newcastle v Spurs preview

Newcastle striker Loic Remy will serve the final game of his three-match ban as Tottenham visit St James' Park on Wednesday night.

Remy has already missed the two defeats against Sunderland and Chelsea and will be available once again for the home tie against Aston Villa.

Alan Pardew will also be without Fabricio Coloccini (knee), full-back Mathieu Debuchy (calf), Cheick Tiote (hamstring), Gabriel Obertan (knee) and Gael Bigirimana (ankle).

Pardew will give late fitness tests to Yoan Gouffran (muscle strain) and Papiss Cisse (back).

Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood has no fresh injury concerns.

Sandro (calf) and Vlad Chriches (back) remain sidelined and Sherwood has also confirmed Erik Lamela has suffered a setback in his recovery from a thigh strain and will also be missing.

Winger Andros Townsend will be pushing for a return to the first team after returning from the bench in the win against Everton, following a lay-off with a hamstring problem.
