Force India deputy team principal Bob Fernley is adamant Adrian Sutil will not face any visa issues ahead of his return to Formula One.
Just under a fortnight ago Force India finally made a decision as to who would partner Paul Di Resta this season, with the team opting to turn to the man they axed at the end of 2011.
The team claimed when choosing Nico Hulkenberg over Sutil for 2012 their decision boiled down to talent, and not the latter's pending court case at the time.
Just over a year ago Sutil was given an 18-month suspended sentence and fined £167,000 for assaulting Lotus executive Eric Lux during an incident in a Shanghai nightclub after the 2011 Chinese Grand Prix.
After spending last year on the sidelines, Sutil now replaces German compatriot Hulkenberg who has switched to Sauber.
Questions have been raised, however, about whether visas will be granted for Sutil, mainly in China, where the incident occurred, and the United States where rules of entry are strict in relation to criminal convictions.
But Fernley said: "I don't think there are any problems.
"It's just a matter of the management team clearing them all up beforehand. We don't expect any problems at all.
"I don't see any issues. I think it's about being transparent, and then it will be fine."
Ahead of this weekend's season-opening race in Australia, Fernley is in no doubt the right decision has been made in reappointing Sutil, as it was the year before when they opted to get rid of him.
After going head to head with reserve Jules Bianchi in the second test in Barcelona for the vacant seat, Fernley said: "Adrian was exemplary.
"He just ticked every box, which was no disrespect to Jules because it was a very tough decision.
"We just felt Adrian has that tiny bit more experience to deliver what we need to do this year, but it was a very difficult decision.
"If you saw the way Adrian carried himself after that test, he's learned a lot by being out for a year.
"Adrian has always been very fast. We had to make a choice at the end of 2011 whether to go for Adrian or Nico, and it was Nico.
"But now Adrian is deserving of a second chance, and that's why we are giving him one."
