No problems for Carlisle

Wednesday afternoon's National Hunt meeting at Carlisle goes ahead after the track was declared fit to race.

Clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright was due to inspect the course at 8am after the venue was hit by snow on Tuesday.

However, he was able to give the meeting the go-ahead much earlier than that, with the ground reported to be soft, heavy in places on the hurdles track and heavy, soft in places on the chase course.
