No rush on Taghrooda
Connections of Taghrooda are in no hurry to decide on what to do with the exciting filly ahead of the Investec Oaks after her Newmarket win.
The John Gosden-trained daughter of See The Stars leapt to the head of the betting for the Classic at Epsom on June 6 with a six-length stroll in the Listed Pretty Polly Stakes.
That was only her second career start following a debut win at Headquarters in September.
The remaining Oaks trials come thick and fast, and a racecourse gallop at Epsom's 'Breakfast with the Stars' event was an option flagged up by Gosden in the immediate aftermath.
"We couldn't have been happier with that. Nothing has changed since yesterday. We're leaving things open," said Angus Gold, racing manager to owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum.
"We'll see how she comes out of the race first of all before we even think about the next step. We won't even discuss it until the middle of the week at the earliest or perhaps the weekend.
"If time wasn't a factor, of course we'd go for a trial. If I were to speak to John I'm sure he'd say the same. We'll wait a week and then formulate a plan.
"She's a staying filly with a bit of class."
