Northampton held by Alloa
An experimental Northampton side were pegged back by a late goal as they drew 1-1 with Alloa.
Marc Richards put the Cobblers ahead early on when he lifted the ball over the advancing goalkeeper having been released by Ian Morris.
The visitors could have been further ahead in the second half but an offside flag ruled out a second for Richards, after he strayed beyond the last man before heading into the net.
Zander Diamond had a golden chance to wrap up the game but his header hit the outside of the post and Kevin Cawley soon made him pay, slotting in a low shot 10 minutes from time.
Wilder had used the game to try out a different formation, lining up with three defenders as well as wingbacks, but conceded that he was disappointed with the result.
He told the club's official website: "We're a touch disappointed that we've not seen the game out but it's a good workout for us."
