Defender Michael Turner will return from injury for Norwich's League Cup quarter-final tie against Aston Villa on Tuesday night.
Alexander Tettey and Ryan Bennett remain sidelined, and Steven Whittaker (hip) and Wes Hoolahan (groin) are fitness doubts.
Aston Villa midfielder Ashley Westwood is cup-tied at Carrow Road.
Westwood had already played in the competition for his previous club Crewe this season before making the move to Villa in late August.
Karim El Ahmadi is the obvious contender to replace Westwood. Skipper and centre-back Ron Vlaar remains a doubt with a calf problem which has ruled him out of the last three games.
