O'Connell stays on at York

Blackburn youngster Jack O'Connell has extended his loan spell with York by a further two months.

The 18-year-old central defender initially joined the Minstermen on a month-long youth loan at the start of February.

Following six appearances for City, O'Connell now has the chance to complete the season at Bootham Crescent.

He is available to face Yorkshire rivals Rotherham in League Two on Tuesday night, where he previously spent time on loan earlier this season.
