O'Connor's injury is no concern

Hibernian striker Garry O'Connor will be fit to face St Mirren on Sunday, according to manager Pat Fenlon.

The club's top goalscorer caused concern when he limped off early in the second half of Hibernian's 1-0 Premier League defeat by Kilmarnock on Sunday, which kept them in relegation danger.

But Fenlon told Hibernian TV: "It's just a kick on the ankle area. Garry didn't train, but he should be okay for the weekend.

"The injury is not of major concern at the moment."

The Irishman played down fears O'Connor, who has 15 goals this season, had suffered a recurrence of the toe injury that hampered him earlier in the season.

"It's the outside of the ankle, there was a little bit of swelling after the game," he said. "Garry did some pool work today and he should be okay to train, if not Wednesday then on Friday."
