O'Flynn praise for Keohane

Exeter midfielder Jimmy Keohane has excelled in recent weeks, according to fellow Irishman John O'Flynn.

Keohane netted his first goal of the season in Saturday's 3-2 win over Southend having cemented a place in the side for the first time since arriving at the club over two years ago.

And O'Flynn, who lined up ahead of Keohane at Roots Hall, was quick to praise the attacking midfielder's impact during his last five starts.

"This is probably Jimmy's first spell where he has got a few 90 minutes under his belt," he said.

"He has been showing it on the training ground for so long and he's a fit guy who is never injured who is excelling now.

"He is reaping the benefits of a bit of faith Tis (manager Paul Tisdale) has shown in him and he's playing really well with Tommy Nichols.

"Jimmy is a bit of a utility player which plays against him sometimes but I think just behind the front is suiting him at the moment."
