Odeliz creates a stir
Karl Burke has already been fielding calls from bloodstock agents after Odeliz was touched off by a potentially top-class rival at the Curragh.
A Listed winner at Longchamp last season, she made her reappearance in Sunday's Group Three Park Express Stakes but just lost out to Vote Often, who may now head for the Irish 1,000 Guineas.
"I was as pleased with her as I could be without winning," said the North Yorkshire trainer.
"It was a very good run, but Pat Smullen (on the winner) knows every inch of the Curragh and they just came close together three out. We've no complaints, it was just race-riding.
"She could have done with a lead for longer as she tends not to do much when she hits the front, but because of the coming-together she found herself there sooner than ideal.
"She showed her versatility because I thought she was at her best over 10 furlongs, but she showed plenty of pace. The ground would also have been slower than ideal.
"I'd been looking at a Group Three at Chantilly at the end of April and a Group Two at Saint-Cloud at the end of May but they are both over 10 furlongs so I'll give myself a week to look for options over a mile.
"As she's got the French premiums, the races over there are very valuable for her as they have huge bonuses.
"I've had a couple of calls already and while every horse has a price, I'm hoping to do a deal to see her stay in the yard."
