One change for South Africa

South Africa have made one enforced change to their line-up for Saturday's second Test against England in Johannesburg.

Full-back Pat Lambie starts in place of the injured Zane Kirchner after coming on for him at half-time in the first Test victory in Durban last week.

Kirchner suffered a knee injury in the 22-17 win at Kings Park but is hoping to be back in contention for the third Test.

On the bench, Werner Kruger comes in for Coenie Oosthuizen, who has been ruled out of the rest of the series with a neck injury, and Bjorn Basson is added.

Lambie will earn his 13th cap while Kruger and Basson are returning to the Test arena for the first time since last year's Tri-Nations series.

The Springboks are again captained by centre Jean de Villiers, who marked his first appearance as skipper with a try last week.

Coach Heyneke Meyer said: "We decided against no unnecessary changes as we aim to build some continuity during this season.

"We still have not had a lot of preparation time, but I'm pleased to have seen how the players have been getting stuck in - on the training field and during our off-field sessions.

"This weekend will be a big challenge yet again against a good England side, but our focus is still on ourselves.

"We need to show further improvement from last weekend and have to make a step up this weekend.

"We have confidence in all the players in our squad and that is why Pat, Werner and Bjorn have slotted in easily.

"Everyone knows what is needed this weekend and they have been very sharp at training. We now need to translate that to the match on Saturday."

The Springboks are looking to take an unassailable lead in the series ahead of the third Test in Port Elizabeth.

South Africa team to face England in second Test at Coca-Cola Park, Johannesburg, on Saturday, June 16:
