Ouseph falls short of Euro title

Rajiv Ouseph failed in his bid to win England's first European men's singles gold medal for 24 years in Kazan on Sunday.

The England number one and 2010 Commonwealth silver medallist fell in straight sets to top seed Jan Jorgensen of Denmark 21-18 21-10.

Ouseph never fully recovered from a slow start and Jorgensen took advantage of his second match point to claim victory in 33 minutes.

Ouseph will now switch his attention to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July followed by the World Championships in Copenhagen later this year.
