For the second successive day no play was possible in Surrey's LV= County Championship Division One match against Durham at the Kia Oval.
The decision was again taken in early afternoon and with more rain forecast the ground is facing its first four-day washout since the match against Sussex in 2007.
The last championship game before that to be wiped at the Oval was in 1981 against Hampshire.
