Owen banned for Widnes clash

Castleford full-back Richard Owen has pleaded guilty to punching an opponent and will be banned for Monday's clash with Widnes.

Owen was charged by the Rugby Football League's match-review panel with punching Leeds centre Carl Ablett during his side's 40-22 defeat at Headingley on Sunday.

The Tigers say he has submitted an early-guilty plea to the grade B offence and accepted a one-match ban.
