Pacquiao faces Algieri
Manny Pacquiao has agreed a deal to fight American Chris Algieri in Macau in the autumn.
The Filipino superstar will make the second defence of the WBO welterweight title against the undefeated New Yorker at the Venetian Casino & Resort on November 22.
Pacquiao returns to the same venue where he won the title with a one-sided points' victory over Brandon Rios last November.
The 30-year-old southpaw, who boasts a record of 56 victories from 63 contests, 38 via knockout, with five losses and two draws, avenged a previous defeat to Timothy Bradley in his last fight in April.
Algieri holds the light welterweight version of the WBO title and chasing his 21st straight victory when he steps up to 140lbs against Pacquiao.
\"We have a deal. On my end, it wasn't a hard deal at all,\" confirmed Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum.
Arum's counterpart, Joe DeGuardia, added: \"We have a deal. We've come to an agreement on all terms and with all parties and now, we're just waiting to paper it up. And we're looking forward to the fight.
Algieri said; \"I wanted this fight. This will change my life once again, and I welcome the future.\"
