Pakistan stick with Misbah
Misbah-ul-Haq will retain the Pakistan captaincy against South Africa next month despite their poor recent results.
The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed there would be no change at the top in the wake of their first loss to Zimbabwe in 15 years.
Pakistan have won only one of five Tests this year, that coming against lowly Zimbabwe as well, and they are looking for revenge after a 3-0 defeat in South Africa in February.
They meet in two Tests, firstly in Abu Dhabi from October 14-18 and then in Dubai the following week.
The first Test will be preceded by a three-day Pakistan 'A' match against the Proteas that sees a number of players given a chance to impress selectors, including captain Umar Amin.
Amin has not played a Test in three years after he was axed during the controversial tour of England that was marred by a match-fixing scandal.
The full Test squad will be named at a later date with a number of players given a chance to shine in a training camp for Pakistan probables in Lahore from Monday - 28 players will be in attendance.
