Palacio set to stay at Inter

Inter Milan striker Rodrigo Palacio has revealed he is set to extend his contract with the Serie A side.

The Argentine's current deal will expire in 2015, and there were fears that he would leave Nerazzurri before next summer.

Palacio was linked with former club Boca Juniors, where he scored 54 goals in five seasons, and admitted he would like to return to his homeland before the end of his career.

However, after his goal secured a 1-0 win over Torino on Sunday, the 32-year-old forward has told Sky Italia that he will pen a one-year extension in the coming days.

He said: "My contract extension? We are talking. In about 10 days, I will sign."
