Partick v Hearts preview

Partick Thistle forward Kallum Higginbotham will return from suspension for Saturday's Scottish Premiership clash with Hearts.

Thistle boss Alan Archibald has concerns with his defensive options as the home team look for three points in their battle to avoid a possible relegation playoff.

Conrad Balatoni is kept out with a hand injury, while Aaron Muirhead is at least a fortnight away from his return after undergoing knee surgery on Thursday.

Isaac Osbourne remains sidelined because of an ankle injury, as does Sean Welsh, who is recovering from a groin problem.

Hearts will welcome back Dale Carrick for the trip to Glasgow, after the midfielder missed Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Aberdeen because of a deal leg.

The 19-year-old midfielder struck the opening goal in last week's 2-0 win over Edinburgh rivals Hibernian at Tynecastle.

Gary Locke's team have to beat Thistle and hope St Mirren are beaten at home to Inverness Caley in order to avoid relegation this weekend.

On-loan West Ham striker Paul McCallum is a doubt through illness, while another forward, Jamie Walker, may feature for the first time since mid-January following a foot injury.
