Partick v Ross County preview

There will be a party atmosphere at Firhill on Saturday after both Partick Thistle and Ross County guaranteed their Scottish Premiership survival in midweek.

Victories over Hearts and Hibernian respectively means both sides have side-stepped the threat of a relegation play-off ahead of the final game of the season.

Thistle are expected to name an unchanged team against the Highlanders with on-loan midfielder Prince Buaben, who has been released by Carlisle, missing for several games with a knock.

Defenders Stephen O'Donnell (hip) and Aaron Muirhead (knee), and midfielders Isaac Osbourne (ankle) and Sean Welsh (groin) all remain on the sidelines.

County manager Derek Adams will have to rejig his side as talismanic skipper Richie Brittain is ruled out through suspension.

The Staggies boss also says he has other fitness issues to address, among them midfielder Stuart Kettlewell, who limped off against Hibs on Wednesday, and Michael Tidser.
