London Wasps' Tim Payne has been suspended for two weeks after pleading guilty to an RFU charge of striking with the knee.
The 33-year-old was cited for striking Northampton winger Vasily Artemyev during the Saints' 24-6 victory in the Aviva Premiership meeting between the two sides on September 28.
Wasps, who are currently 10th in the table with only one victory to their name so far this season, will now be without Payne until his suspension ends on October 15, meaning he misses the league fixture against Worcester and the Amlin Challenge Cup clash with Newport Gwent Dragons.
