Charlie Longsdon will enter the prolific Pete The Feat in the Classic Chase at Warwick on Saturday but he isn't certain to run there.
The nine-year-old has won five on the bounce, rising 40lb in the handicap in the process, since joining his new trainer from Anna Newton-Smith's yard.
Pete The Feat's latest victory in the Mandarin Chase at Newbury on December 29 came as easily as most of his others.
"I don't normally like to run them back so quick, especially staying chasers, but he'll have an entry in the Classic Chase at Warwick," said the Chipping Norton handler.
"It might just come a week too soon for him and it's less likely than likely at this stage, but he will have the entry.
"If he doesn't go there we will wait until the end of the month and either go to the West Wales National at Ffos Las, a similar race at Sandown, or the Sky Bet Chase at Doncaster."
