Suzann Pettersen of Norway captured the HanaBank Championship title after beating Scotland's Catriona Matthew at the third hole of a play-off.
A birdie at the 18th spared the 31-year-old's blushes after she had blown a five-shot lead going into the final round of the LPGA tournament in South Korea.
Matthew, 43, started the day seven behind Pettersen but a five-under 67 took her to 11-under 205 as the Norwegian could only manage a two-over 74 on Sky 72 Golf Club's Ocean Course.
Matthew had a two-stroke lead after Pettersen's double bogey on the par-three 12th, but Pettersen rallied with a birdie on the 14th and Matthew then bogeyed the 16th to leave them tied after 54 holes.
The pair played the par-five 18th three times in the play-off, halving the first two extra holes with pars, before Pettersen clinched her ninth LPGA Tour title and second victory in this event after her success in 2007.
World No 1 Yani Tseng shot a 69 to finish one shot back in third, one stroke ahead of Se Ri Pak of South Korea (70).
Lexi Thompson of the United States (70) and Germany's Sandra Gal (71) tied for fifth place.
