Sky Sports understands Blackpool striker Kevin Phillips is now in talks with Crystal Palace.
The Eagles were thought to be keen to make a deadline day move for the veteran with boss Ian Holloway having worked with Phillips during his time at Bloomfield Road.
It seems a reunion is one step closer with Phillips in talks with Palace as they bid to bolster their front line for their promotion bid.
