Australia captain David Pocock suffered a serious knee injury during Saturday's 27-19 defeat by the All Blacks.
Scans revealed on Sunday that Pocock had sustained cartilage damage to his right knee to compound the Wallabies' poor start to their Bledisloe Cup campaign in Sydney with his prognosis to be announced on Monday.
Ben McCalman - who was training with the Australian squad - underwent surgery on his forearm last night.
McCalman - the Western Force's number eight - was on the recovery trail from a shoulder injury, and he is expected to miss another three months of action with his latest injury.
