Poles pummel poor Britain
Great Britain's preparations for next month's EuroBasket took another blow as they went down to an 85-66 defeat by Poland.
Saturday night's reverse by the hosts in Lublin came little more than 24 hours after they were defeated by Sweden and means they have now lost four consecutive warm-up games.
Poland led from the off and were already 24-12 ahead after the first quarter, and by the time the game was going into the final period, the hosts were almost 30 points clear at 73-44.
The match ended with a 10-0 run for Great Britain to give the scoreline a different slant but it was still another defeat, with a double-header to come against former world champions Spain before their EuroBasket opener against Israel on September 4.
