Poyet wins Charlton award

Charlton midfielder Diego Poyet has been named the Sky Bet Championship club's Player of the Year.

The 19-year-old, son of Sunderland boss Gus, only made his Addicks debut in January.

But he put in a string of fine performances, which have seen him linked with a move to the Premier League, as Charlton won their battle against relegation with a game to spare.

Midfielder Jordan Cousins won the young player of the year award and right-back Lawrie Wilson was named players' player of the year.
