FT: Bolton 0 Blackburn 2

Blackburn climbed to 11th place in the Premier League table following a 2-0 win over Bolton in a cracking Lancashire derby clash at the Reebok Stadium.

David Dunn produced a superb finish to open the scoring on 33 and Sam Ricketts' own goal in the second half ended any hopes of a Trotters comeback.

Dunn had already gone close on two occasions when he took a Jason Roberts pass in his stride and expertly lifted the ball over Jussi Jaaskelainen.

The Trotters almost responded before half-time as Matt Taylor had a free-kick tipped over the crossbar then headed narrowly wide from the resulting corner.

Ricardo Gardner scuffed a shot and Kevin Davies' downward header went over as the hosts pressed early after the restart.

But Rovers began to turn the screw and created a number of chances before Ricketts headed Brett Emerton's cross back to Jaaskelainen only to see his 'keeper yards out of his goal.
