The NHL have cancelled the remainder of their pre-season schedule because of the ongoing dispute with players.
The governing body last week called off all pre-season activity until September 30 after the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL and the NHL Players' Association expired and have now announced a second cancellation.
A brief statement on nhl.com read: "The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of the remainder of the 2012 pre-season schedule.
"The cancellation of the preseason schedule was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players' Association and the NHL."
