Preview: Aberdeen v St Johnstone

Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee has a number of selection headaches as his side look to get back on track after last weekend's defeat in Leith when they take on St Johnstone at Pittodrie on Saturday.

Chris Maguire and Maurice Ross are both forced to take a watching brief following the red cards they received during the 2-0 reverse at Easter Road.

Fraser Fyvie is out after suffering ankle ligament damage last week while Zander Diamond remains on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

St Johnstone, buoyed by their first home win of the campaign against Falkirk, have doubts over Steven Anderson and Collin Samuel for Saturday's jaunt up the A90.

Defender Anderson has a swollen toe, while Samuel, who has bagged five goal this term, was forced off with a knee problem against the Bairns.

However, those who will not be on the Saints' team bus include Stuart McCaffrey (groin), Steven Milne (ankle) and Euan McLean (ankle).
