Puel: Anin no nearer return

Nice boss Claude Puel admits midfielder Kevin Anin is still some way from returning to the squad as he continues to battle a personal issue.

The former Le Havre and Sochaux player has been away from the squad since the start of this month, with the club only willing to confirm that his absence is down to "serious personal problems" as they last week wished him well in his recovery.

Puel accepts the loss of the 26-year-old is damaging his side's prospects but insists the player's welfare has to take precedence.

"He is back in Le Havre and will return to us when he feels ready to return," the coach told L'Equipe today.

"He is not yet ready to resume playing. It is harmful for the squad but that is secondary to how he is feeling."
