Pulis still chasing signings

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis remains determined to bring in a 'few' new signings before the transfer window closes on Friday.

Pulis has overseen a revival at Selhurst Park since taking charge in November, but has yet to strengthen his squad in January.

A 1-0 win over Hull City on Tuesday night lifted Palace up to 14th in the Premier League table, five points ahead of the relegation zone, and just one point adrift of the top 10.

However, Pulis is not resting on his laurels and is hoping that Palace can be active in the transfer market during the final days of the January window.

"We are hoping and praying the next couple of days will see us bring a few in," he said after Jason Puncheon's goal secured the points against Hull.

"We need to. Everyone is working hard behind the scenes. But you can't criticise what players have done, they've been wonderful.

"We need another 17 points. There's 15 games to go and we still need more than a point a game, and in the Premier League that's tough.

"It's a massive ask, so we won't get carried away - we can't afford too. We are pleased with the points we have so far but we can't take our foot off the pedal."
