Qatar pair clash again

Qatar Racing's Hot Streak and Pearl Secret will lock horns for the third time this season in the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot next week.

Kevin Ryan's Hot Streak finished third in the Palace House Stakes at Newmarket on his three-year-old debut, with the David Barron-trained Pearl Secret a disappointing eighth having made a winning return to action at Nottingham.

Pearl Secret closed the gap in last month's Temple Stakes at Haydock, but Hot Streak again won the argument by half a length to give Qatar Racing a one-two.

Connections considered splitting their pair of aces at the Royal meeting, but they will instead do battle once more over five furlongs on Tuesday.

Hannah Wall, assistant to owner Sheikh Fahad's racing manager David Redvers, said: "With Hot Streak and Pearl Secret, the plan is for both to run in the King's Stand.

"Jamie (Spencer) is going to ride Hot Streak and Richard Hughes will be on Pearl Secret."
