Four players shared the lead after the first round of the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic.
Jennifer Rosales, Katie Futcher, Lindsey Wright and Caroline Hedwall all carded a five under par score of 67 at The Crossings Course at Magnolia Grove.
Filipino Rosales finished strongly in her first event of the year on the tour, plundering birdies on five of the first seven holes on the back nine after a birdie and a bogey on the front nine.
Futcher had held the lead at six under with one hole remaining, but a bogey on the par-four ninth proved
costly. There were bogey-free rounds from Wright and Hedwall.
A cluster of eight players were a shot further back on four under - Sun Young Yoo, Stacy Lewis, Morgan Pressel, Mariajo Uribe, Sydnee Michaels, Cindy LaCrosse, Haeji Kang and Mi Jung Hur.
