Quintana close to Giro success
Colombia's Nairo Quintana moved closer to victory in the Giro d'Italia by winning the individual time trial for stage 19.
In doing so, the Movistar rider extended his overall lead over compatriot Rigoberto Uran to three minutes and seven seconds with just two days remaining of the race.
Runner-up to Quintana in the 26.8kilometre uphill course was Italian Fabio Aru, 17 seconds behind, to put him third overall with Uran third in the time trial nearly 90 seconds off the pace.
Belkin rider Jos van Emden broke off from his individual time-trial to propose to his girlfriend.
The team confirmed via their Twitter account that Kimberly Herpelinck had accepted after the Dutchman pulled over and asked her to marry him before continuing on to the finish.
