R Madrid v A Madrid preview

Cristiano Ronaldo is fit to play for Real Madrid in Saturday evening's Champions League final against rivals Atletico Madrid in Lisbon.

Ronaldo is expected to feature in his native Portugal despite struggling with a knock that saw him miss last weekend's La Liga win over Espanyol.

Central defender Pepe and forward Karim Benzema both remain doubts, but Gareth Bale, who sat out training on Tuesday, will start.

Long-term knee injury victim Jese is definitely out though, as is the suspended Xabi Alonso.

Atletico, meanwhile, are waiting to discover if Diego Costa and Arda Turan will be able to feature after both picked up injuries in the Rojiblancos' title-winning 1-1 draw against Barcelona last Saturday.

Striker Costa, especially, looked certain to miss the final with a hamstring problem but both he and midfielder Turan were able to take a low-key part in group training on Thursday night. And Costa stepped it up on Friday and could yet start in Lisbon.
