Radwanska makes Auckland final

Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska set up an ASB Classic final against Belgium's Yanina Wickmayer after both women came through tight semi-finals.

Pole Radwanska needed two tie-breaks to get past unseeded American Jamie Hampton, prevailing 7-6 (7/4) 7-6 (7/3) in an hour and 44 minutes in Auckland on Friday.

It was a case of what might have been for Hampton, who created nine break-point chances in the match but could only convert three, while her opponent took advantage of all three opportunities she forged.

Third seed Wickmayer meanwhile edged through a topsy-turvy match against Germany's Mona Barthel, sealing a 6-4 1-6 7-6 (7/3) win in an hour and 48 minutes.

Radwanska and Wickmayer will face off for the third time in the final, with each player having won one of their previous meetings.
