Rain hits Middlesex again

Rain meant that Middlesex's LV= County Championship clash with Sussex was washed out for a third straight day.

Heavy rainfall in the capital meant that umpires Steve Garratt and David Millns called play off well ahead of the scheduled start time.

With just a day left and not a ball bowled in anger, a result looks virtually impossible at Merchant Taylors' School Ground in Northwood.

Middlesex have won four of their opening six games at the start of the season to top the Division One table, with Sussex fourth.
