Rain ruins Derbyshire clash

Derbyshire's Division Two clash with Gloucestershire has ended in a draw after play was abandoned before it began on the final day.

Bad weather has affected this match from the start, and with wet conditions at the County Ground there was little prospect of a result with the visitors still in their first innings.

They had struggled to 66 for four on Tuesday, replying to Derbyshire's 278, but were comfortable in the knowledge that a draw had long been on the cards.

The result leaves Derbyshire still searching for a first win of the season at the foot of Division Two.

The sides take eight points each.
