Raina, Cook climb rankings

India's Suresh Raina has broken into the top 10 of the ICC player rankings for ODI batsmen for the first time.

Named Player of the Series on the back of 277 runs in five matches at the impressive average of 92.33 against England recently, Raina has jumped 15 places to 10th.

English captain Alastair Cook has climbed from eighth to seven after scoring 207 runs, for an aggregate of 41.40 in the two-three series defeat to Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men.

Australian Phil Hughes, who made his debut in the series against Sri Lanka, which ended in a two-all draw, has entered the rankings in 73rd position - thanks largely to two centuries in five matches.

The table is still led by South Africa's Hashim Amla, with team-mate AB de Villiers second and India's Virat Kohli third. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Saeed Ajmal continues to lead the player rankings for ODI bowlers, with team-mate and fellow spinner Mohammad Hafeez in second place.

South Africa's Lonawabo Tsotsobe has moved up a place to third, Sri Lanka's Nuwan Kulasekara, who was the number-one ranked ODI bowler in March 2009, has jumped 16 places to sixth spot following his 11 wickets this month, England's Steven Finn has gained one spot and is now in fifth position and Lasith Malinga has returned to 10th position.
