Rangers v Ayr United preview

Arnold Peralta returns to the Rangers squad for the game against Ayr United on Tuesday evening.

The Honduras defensive midfielder missed the 4-0 win over Stenhousemuir on Saturday with a hamstring injury.

Lee Wallace (hip), David Templeton (groin) and Lewis Macleod (virus) will play no part.

Andy Little (thigh) is closing on a first-team return and will feature for the U20s side against Kilmarnock this week.

Ayr remain in the third and final play-off place in the standings with a one point advantage over Stenhousemuir - and this is United's game in hand on the Warriors.

Michael McGowan returns from suspension while on-loan Kyle McAusland will not be involved against his parent club.

United payer/manager Mark Roberts said: "Rangers have been formidable and they are playing with high intensity to ensure they remain unbeaten.

"We can go there and play with a certain amount of freedom as no one expects us to get anything."
