Reading start season at Wigan

Reading will begin the new Sky Bet Championship season with a trip to Wigan on August 9.

The Royals will be looking to exact a measure of revenge on Latics, having lost home and away to them in the 2013/14 campaign.

Reading's last win at the DW Stadium came back in December 2003, when a Nicky Forster brace secured all three points in a First Division encounter.

After the Wigan clash, Nigel Adkins' men have back-to-back home games against Ipswich (August 16) and Huddersfield (August 19) before they travel to Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough.

The Royals go to Brighton on Boxing Day and are at home to Norwich two days later.

The campaign ends on May 2 with an away game against Derby.
