Reading to offer deal to Sunzu

Reading are preparing an offer for Zambian defender Stopilla Sunzu after impressing on trial.

The TP Mazembe stopper has spent the last week training with Reading in the hope of winning a move to the Madejski Stadium.

The 23-year-old has impressed during his stint at Reading and Royals boss Brian McDermott is ready to push through a deal for the centre-half.

Sunzu has ended his trial at the club to link up with his Zambia team-mates for the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa where they kick off their campaign against Ethiopia on Monday.

McDermott has been busy in the transfer market having brought in Stephen Kelly, Hope Akpan and Daniel Carrico already and it looks like Sunzu will be the next new face in at the club.
