Red-hot champions take 2-0 lead
Miami Heat took a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference play-off semi against the Brooklyn Nets with a 94-82 win at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Defending champions Miami trailed for much of the match up until near the end of the third period but battled back to record an eighth successive play-off victory, star forward LeBron James leading the way with a game-high 22 points for the in-form Heat.
Last season's runners-up the San Antonio Spurs also boast a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference after defeating the Portland Trail Blazers 114-97 at AT&T Center.
Kawhi Leonard led seven Spurs players into double-digit scoring with 20 points while Tony Parker contributed 16 points, 10 assists and five rebounds for the victors.
