Redcar gets go-ahead

This afternoon's meeting at Redcar goes ahead after the track passed a precautionary 7.30am inspection.

Officials called the early check as further overnight rain was forecast on an already heavy track.

However, track manager Amy Fair reports the venue to be fit for racing today.

She tweeted: "Update - the track has passed this morning's precautionary inspection. We are racing today & the going is Heavy."
