Reds v Waratahs: Teams

Reds coach Richard Graham has made two changes to his side for the season finale against the Waratahs.

A disappointing season has meant the former champions have well out of the playoff picture - while the Waratahs will finish the regular season top of the pile regardless of Saturday's result.

A broken jaw means Nick Frisby has joined a lengthy injury list at the Queensland franchise, so Scott Gale will make his first start for the Reds.

Greg Holmes has been passed fit, though, and he will replace Ben Daley in the starting XV.

And Graham is hoping his side can finish the season on a high against their traditional foes.

"Whether it is rugby, cricket or league, Queensland versus New South Wales is still the greatest of rivalries,\" said Graham.

"We have 50,000-plus members and another four and a half million people north of the border who want to see the team do well. Regardless of positions on the table, the squad is determined to finish the season strongly."

The Waratahs have opted against risking leading try-scorer Israel Folau for the clash, with the Australia full-back rested due to a thigh complaint.

That means Cam Crawford will make his fourth start of the season, with Will Skelton coming in to bolster the pack.

Coach Michael Cheika has initially named nine players on the bench - including 22-year-old West Harbour prop Michael Ala'alatoa - although one will drop out on match day.
