Rendezvous ready to race on

Melodic Rendezvous is set to race again this season after finding the ground too lively in the Stan James Champion Hurdle.

The big meetings at Aintree and Punchestown, plus a race in France, could come into the equation for the Elite, Champion Hurdle Trial and Kingwell winner.

His performance in finishing seventh to Jezki in the Cheltenham showpiece confirmed trainer Jeremy Scott's belief that the eight-year-old must have soft going to be at this best.

"Melodic Rendezvous' run in the Stan James Champion Hurdle at the Festival was proof enough that he does need soft ground. He was just flat out all the way," the Somerset trainer told www.jeremyscottracing.net.

"He's come out of the race very well and we are considering options at Aintree, Punchestown and possibly France with his owners and we may step him up in trip."
