Positive news for Renwick

Wilson Renwick emerged largely unscathed from a nasty fall at Kelso which saw him taken to Borders General Hospital for precautionary X-rays.

The jockey was unseated as Kie blundered right through the third fence in the Ashleybank Investments Reg & Betty Tweedie Handicap Chase, leaving a gaping hole in the obstacle.

He was taken taken to hospital for checks on his wrist and neck, but later tweeted: "Nothing broken. Bit sore. Be back next week."

On the same card Danny Cook made a welcome return to winning ways when striking on 11-8 favourite Kilgefin Star for trainer Michael Smith in the D.G. Pryde Ltd Novices' Hurdle.

Cook had not ridden since breaking his leg in a fall at Newcastle in November of last year.
